Amarante Selected DAC Baseball Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Richland baseball's Sean Amarante was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

A sophomore outfielder from Houston, Amarante hit .636 with two home runs, six runs batted in and three runs scored. He went 7-for-11 at the plate as the No. 4-ranked Thunderducks went 1-3 in a four-game home-and-home series with Vernon College. Amarante homered in back-to-back losses, and was 3-for-5 with three RBI in the final game of the series.  

Amarante is hitting .583 in four games this season.

Richland (3-3) will play a three-game series at Bossier Parish Community College Friday and Saturday.
