Solis Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Richland's Caleb Solis was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

A freshman catcher from Houston, Solis crushed three home runs and drove in eight runs, while slugging 1.500 and posting an on-base plus slugging percentage of 2.083 last week as the Thunderducks won a series with Dallas College Cedar Valley. He batted .375, scored five runs and walked once. Solis homered twice and drove in seven runs in Saturday's 13-3 win over the Suns.

Ranked No. 6 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, Richland (28-20, 17-7 DAC) hosts No. 3 Eastfield (40-8, 20-4 DAC) on Pack the Park Day 12 p.m. Thursday in Game 1 of a three-game series.
