Holland Chosen for NJCAA All-Star Game
LAS VEGAS – Dallas College Richland men's basketball's Barack Holland was selected to compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Star Game May 16-17.
Players from all three NJCAA divisions will be showcased in the all-star event.
A 6-foot-3 sophomore guard from Dallas, Holland was an NJCAA Division III First Team All-American. He was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player, and was a First Team All-DAC selection.
Holland averaged 12.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor. He shot 37.7 percent from three-point range and 71.7 percent from the free throw line. He helped lead the Thunderducks to a third place finish at the NJCAA Division III Tournament. Richland went 23-12 overall, and won the DAC regular season title with an 11-4 league record.
