Holland Competes in NJCAA All-Star Game
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Dallas College Richland men's basketball's Barack Holland competed in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Star Game at Orleans Arena.
A 6-foot-3 sophomore guard from Dallas, Holland made one three-pointer, grabbed three rebounds, had two assists and a block while competing for the North All-Stars. The North lost to the South 124-110.
Foday Sheriff and Antonio Choi each scored 17 points, leading six South All-Stars in double figures. Choi also had six rebounds, two steals and a block. The North's BJ Stewart scored 17 points, grabbed five boards, had two steals and a block. He was one of five North All-Stars to reach double figures.
The South All-Stars shot 48.5 percent from the field, going 48 of 99, including 15 of 38 from three-point range. The North shot 38.4 percent, hitting 43 of 112 field goals, including nine of 45 triples. The North outrebounded the South 69-50.
Players from all three divisions of the NJCAA compete in the All-Star Game, which is organized by the NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association.
