Tarver Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Richland's Jase Tarver was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-4 freshman forward from Lancaster, Texas, Tarver averaged 24 points, nine rebounds and three steals in a pair of wins as the No. 1-ranked Thunderducks captured the DAC regular season championship. He had 24 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and a block, while shooting 9 of 14 from the floor and 6 for 6 at the free throw line in a win at Dallas College Cedar Valley. Tarver finished with 24 points, six rebounds and three steals, while knocking down 8 of 12 field goals and 7 of 8 free throws in the title-clinching victory at Dallas College Mountain View.

Tarver is averaging 15.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

Richland (20-6, 13-0 DAC) will finish the regular season with a road game at Dallas College Eastfield (18-8, 10-3) at 6 p.m. Wednesday and a home game against Dallas College North Lake (17-10, 9-4) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
