Richland Men's Soccer Collects 5 All-Americans

ALL-AMERICANS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Richland men's soccer earned five National Junior College Athletic Association Division III All-American awards.  

Alexis CruzCharles Chimezie and Victor Gomez were named First Team All-Americans. Sebastian Gonzalez and Daniel Espana received Second Team All-Americans. 

A sophomore defender from Houston, Cruz had seven goals and four assists for 18 points. He had two gamewinning goals.  

A sophomore defender from Seattle, Chimezie helped the Thunderducks post eight shutouts. 

A freshman goalkeeper from Arlington, Texas, Gomez went 12-2-1 with a nation-leading seven shutouts, a 0.99 goals against average, 40 saves and a .714 save percentage. 

A freshman forward from Irving, Texas, Gonzalez had three goals and five assists for 11 points. He scored one gamewinning goal.  

A freshman defender from El Salvador, Espana helped Richland post three shutouts.
