Richland Women's Basketball Opens Season Nov. 2
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland women's basketball team will open the season Nov. 2 at home against Nelson University.
The Thunderducks will play six of their 12 games in November at home. Richland also hosts East Texas Baptist University Junior Varsity Nov. 6. The Thunderducks entertain Jarvis Christian University Junior Varsity Nov. 11 to begin a four-game homestand. The Thunderducks will play three home games that week, including visits from National Park College Nov. 13 and Arlington Baptist University Nov. 15. A second meeting with Nelson is scheduled for Nov. 18 in Richland's gym.
Richland plays at Dallas Christian Nov. 19 before matching up with the University of Arkansas Cossatot and Southeast Arkansas College in the Arkansas-Texas Challenge Classic Nov. 22-23 at Arkansas Cossatot. The Thunderducks finish the opening month with a trip to National Park Nov. 25.
Following a road game at East Texas Baptist Junior Varsity Dec. 3, the Thunderducks have a three-game homestand Dec. 5-10 prior to the holiday break. Richland hosts Clarendon College Dec. 5, Connors State College Dec. 7 and Dallas Christian Dec. 10.
After the holidays, the Thunderducks play at Jarvis Christian Junior Varsity Jan. 8. The first home game of the new year is scheduled for Jan. 10 against Arkansas Cossatot. Richland will play at North American University Jan. 13 before returning home two days later to host Louisiana State University Eunice. The Thunderducks will host Nelson University a third time Jan. 20.
Richland begins Dallas Athletic Conference action Jan. 23 at Dallas College Mountain View. After home games against Western Gulf and Wiley College Jan. 25 and Jan. 27, the Thunderducks finish January with a conference home game against Dallas College Cedar Valley Jan. 30.
The Thunderducks host Nelson University Feb. 3 and East Texas Baptist Junior Varsity Feb. 10. They host Mountain View Feb. 13 and North American Feb. 17 to wrap up the final regular season home game. Richland meets Cedar Valley on the road to finish the regular season.
The National Junior College Athletic Association Division III District Tournament is set for Feb. 28-March 1.
