Bio
Jazz Brown was named an assistant women's basketball coach at Dallas College Richland in 2023. She is responsible for player development, scouting preparation, game planning, team operations and administrative duties.
In 2025-26, Brown was part of the coaching staff that led the Thunderducks to their first National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament in program history. Richland won the NJCAA Division III Central District championship, beating Dallas College Mountain View 65-62 to advance to the national tournament.
In 2024-25, Brown helped coach Richland to a 16-8 overall, 3-1 Dallas Athletic Conference record. The Thunderducks won the DAC regular season title for the first time in program history, and advanced to the Central District semifinals. Paris Beard was named NJCAA Division III Third Team All-American.
In her first year with the Thunderducks in 2023-24, she coached a team that went 5-12. Beard was a First Team All-American.
Prior to Richland, Brown was a volunteer assistant coach at Southwestern University from 2021-23. There, she supported day-to-day operations, skill development and game preparation.
Brown was a four-year player at Southwestern, earning two All-Souther Collegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention honors. She served as the team captain as a senior.
She graduated from Southwestern in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in education.
Brown began her coaching degree at Wagner Middle School as the head coach of the seventh grade team in 2020-21 before leading the eighth grade team in 2021-22.
