Thunderducks Women's Soccer No. 9 in Preseason Rankings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Richland women's soccer team is ranked No. 9 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III preseason poll.
The Thunderducks received eight points, four behind Ocean County College, in the 10-team poll. Joliet Junior College was ranked 10th with four points.
Dallas College Brookhaven is the No. 1 team after capturing its third straight national championship. The Bears received six first place votes and 40 points. Delta College is No. 2 with 36 points, and Mohawk Valley Community College No. 3 with 32.
Richland went 9-2-3 last season, advancing to the championship game of the NJCAA Division III South District Tournament.
The Thunderducks open the regular season Aug. 23 at home against Northeast Texas Community College.
