Villa Voted DAC MVP
DALLAS – Dallas College Richland's Linzy Villa was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Most Valuable Player of the Year.
She was joined by Kaylee Haskins and Bella Slaydon as First Team All-DAC selections. Alicia Alejos and Keira Cantu were Second Team All-DAC picks.
A sophomore forward, Villa led the Thunderducks with 21 points on eight goals and five assists. She scored two goals in both games against Dallas College Eastfield.
Haskins, a sophomore midfielder, had eight goals and two assists for 18 points. She scored two goals against Dallas College Cedar Valley and Dallas College Mountain View.
Slaydon, a sophomore midfielder, had eight goals and four assists for 20 points. She scored twice against Mountain View and Dallas College North Lake.
A sophomore defender, Alejos helped the Thunderducks record three shutouts in conference play.
Cantu, a sophomore midfielder, had one goal and three assists. She had a goal and an assist against Eastfield.
