Thunderducks Sweep Suns to Open DAC Season
LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Richland's volleyball team opened Dallas Athletic Conference play with a 25-20, 25-11, 25-19 sweep at Dallas College Cedar Valley Monday.
It was Richland's third sweep in the last four matches, and the 10th this season.
The Thunderducks (11-11, 1-0 DAC) hit .310 in the second set, putting down 11 balls against two errors in 29 attacks. They had 13 kills, and hit .216 in the opening set.
Jersey Glass had 12 kills, two aces and a solo block, while hitting .400. Kensington Jordon had six kills and an ace. Audrey Burleson had five kills, and hit .400, with just one attack error.
Parker Kimball finished with 16 assists, three aces, three kills and six digs. Myra Memon had nine digs and three aces. Kara Washington had seven digs, two aces and a solo block. Aubree Burleson finished with 13 assists and a solo block.
Richland will play at No. 1 Dallas College Eastfield (16-0, 1-0 DAC) at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Thunderducks host Southwestern Christian College 6 p.m. Friday in a nonconference match. They host Dallas College Brookhaven (10-8, 1-0) in the first home conference match 6 p.m. Monday.
